WN1 Sustainability's Partnership With Wigan Warriors

WN1 Sustainability is based in Wigan, and our support for Wigan Warriors reflects that connection. Over the past season, the partnership has grown from pitch-side advertising into a fuller sponsorship relationship, including backing for prop forward Luke Thompson.

A Local Partnership

WN1 Group's roots are in Wigan, and Wigan Warriors is one of rugby league's most decorated clubs. Supporting the team is part of how we show up for the town we work in, alongside the schools, trusts and businesses we deliver projects for.

On the Pitch and in the Programme

Our branding appears on stadium and pitch-side LED boards at Wigan Warriors home games, visible during Sky Sports coverage. We also run advertising in the matchday programme, using the same message we bring to every site visit: tackling rising energy costs through LED lighting, solar PV and EV charging, funded end to end with minimal disruption to the buildings that use them.

Backing Luke Thompson

For the 2026 season, WN1 Sustainability sponsors Luke Thompson. It has been a season worth sponsoring. Wigan Warriors won the Challenge Cup at Wembley in May 2026, and in June, Luke brought the trophy to our offices. Work stopped for a while that day. The team took their turn holding the Cup and getting photos with it, Darren and Jon included.
